Can you quickly think of three things you are grateful for? Five? Ten? More? The routine of everyday life can be distracting so we, along with our New York Makers community, have dedicated an entire month to being in a “Grateful” state of mind.
Life is something to be grateful for. Family (even the members that sometimes lovingly get under your skin!), friends, food, drink, love, laughter, memories, and what’s to come. The vast and varying landscape of New York state is yet another reminder of what we could -- and should -- be grateful for: nature. We spend a significant amount of time outdoors fishing the rivers of Roscoe, walking the beaches of Montauk, skiing the slopes of Whiteface, scaling the Shawangunks, hiking the Helderbergs. What would we do without all of those sacred experiences in nature?

So as we near the start of the holiday season, let’s take the next few (more quiet) weeks to remember to spend quality time with the people, places, pets and things on our “grateful” lists. Who knows how powerful thirty days of appreciation awareness can be?! We are about to find out — join us!
