A Letter From Our Publisher:
Change makes us stronger, and exciting change — both shifting our brand identity fully to New York Makers and bringing onboard a new Editor in Chief and COO — is blowing in with our March winds.
First, New York States of Mind LLC has now rebranded both its digital marketplace and magazine as New York Makers to highlight our focus on creative New Yorkers and the remarkable state in which we live that inspires them.
Second, my talented Co-Founder, COO, Editor in Chief and friend, Christine Murphy — who has done such a remarkable job transforming New York Makers from a dream into a reality — is ready for her next challenge. We will miss her deeply and wish her all the very best. She promises always to hold a place in her heart for us and our mission, as we do, and will, for her.
Third, New York Makers is beyond delighted to welcome Amanda DiRobella — soon to be new resident of New York! — as its new COO and Editor in Chief. Hailing from sister state New Jersey, Amanda possesses strengths in innovative retail concepts and event production, storytelling, business development and brand strategy. We are looking forward to your getting to know her in the coming months, as she builds on the extraordinary foundation Christine has laid, to take New York Makers to the next level.
With all of that, we are delighted to kick off our March 2017 New York “Strong” State of Mind edition highlighting some of our “strongest” products and stories about [people, places and ideas] that help make up the steely determination and resilience at the core of the Empire State.
Excelsior!
Silda
