One of late summer’s most glorious gifts are sunflowers, which hit peak season in August. There is something truly magical about getting lost in a maze of big, bright yellow sunflowers, or frolicking in a field of multi-colored blooms of all shapes and sizes. For a truly memorable experience with your family, visit one of the Hudson Valley’s many “pick your own” flower farms. Some are easier to find, some are hidden in unexpected places, all are breathtaking. Bring the family, pack the camera, and lose yourself in rolling fields of bright and happy flowers.
