Sure, when we think of St. Patrick's Day in New York, we can't help but associate the holiday with that famous NYC Cathedral, and massive, sometimes rambunctious, parade down Fifth Avenue. 

For those looking to celebrate with friends and family elsewhere on Saturday, March 17, here is a list curated by I LOVE NY of locations across the state, from Albany to Buffalo, hosting parades, food festivals, and an even Irish American museum exhibition. 

ALBANY

St. Patrick's Day Parade begins 2 pm at Quail Street and Central Avenue

Irish American Museum, open 12 pm to 4 pm, current exhibit: The Currach Exhibit, 370 Broadway

St. Patrick's Day Family Feast, 11 am to 4 pm at Academy Park (across from City Hall)

LAKE GEORGE

Sham "Rock" the Block, festivities start at 12 pm, parade is March 18 at 1 pm, 20 Amherst Street 

SYRACUSE

St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 12 pm at Clinton Square

ELMIRA

Hill Top Inn Corned Beef and Cabbage, 11 am, reservations recommended, 171 Jerusalem Hill Road
