#DRINKNY: THE BEES KNEES

POSTED: 12 Jul 2013 | BY: SOPHIE HAYS
#NYSOM Happy Hour: We believe in celebrating, and have a tradition of ending each work week with a New York State-inspired cocktail. Here's our guide to mixing and sipping The Bees Knees.

"The Bees Knees"

The Bees Knees aperitif is inspired by Catskill Provisions, from the NYSOM Marketplace. They developed the Bees Knees cocktail from their very own Fall Wildflower Honey, tempered with hot water and shaken with quality gin. Serve in a Tom Stoenner Cocktail Glass for the ultimate New York experience. Don’t have all of the supplies? The “Locavore Mixologist” kit comes packed with everything you need to make The Bees Knees: a shaker, raw honey, large honey wand, maple sugar/cinnamon combo to rim your glasses, even a wooden muddler. Ingredients: Directions: Add honey to warm water and stir until melted into a golden liquid. Fill a cocktail shaker with a cup of ice. Add gin, lemon juice and honey water, and shake vigorously. Pour into your cocktail glass and garnish with a twist or slice of lemon. Prefer your recipes in hard copy? Download our printable version here.
