This cheese serving board is handmade using slate salvaged from the rooftop of a 1900's Tudor house located in South Queens. Perfect for entertaining, and complete with soapstone chalk for identifying your fromage and charcuterie, this is a piece that will continue to withstand the test of time.
Hand-cut, black/dark grey slate, reclaimed in Queens, sealed with a non-VOC matte water-based sealant. Black/dark grey, 100%-recycled plastic bottle Eco-fi felt polyester backing. 12" x 5" x 1.4". Wrapped in a handmade, reusable cotton pouch. Includes soapstone chalk. To clean: Wipe the slate with a lint-free, damp cloth. Do not wet the backing. For heavy soiling: Scrub with liquid soap; dry with a lint-free cloth. To maintain the slate: Rub a small amount of olive oil onto the surface, let sit one hour, wipe off excess with a lint-free cloth. (Care instructions included.)
