Lucky Bug is a family-run business making baby clothing, run by a mother-daughter team and illustrated by an animator son, all raised in New York’s Hudson Valley.
Their designs are very much inspired by the Hudson Valley – evoking farmhouse breakfasts and summer gardens and the baby clothing and accessories are made in New York in small batch production to ensure ethical production by manufacturing locally.
The clothing is made from Oeko-Tex 100 certified organic bamboo viscose, printed with non-toxic dyes, so they are soft and stretchy for growing, active babies. Part of Lucky Bug's long-term mission is to have a low environmental impact, so they take their material choices seriously. As part of this, they have removed plastic from the lifecycle of their products - they do not use poly bags in their manufacturing or distribution processes, and have removed plastic from the hangtags, shipping process and everywhere else they could find.
The New York Makers Marketplace offers a curated selection of unique, mindfully-designed — often handmade or hand-crafted — gifts created by nearly 100 creative makers located across New York state, including the Hudson Valley, Catskills and Adirondacks.
