Black Walnut: holds more flour, which means less sticking and stopping to re-apply.
Cherry: a tight grained wood, is resistant to warping and will darken with use to a rich, deep reddish brown.
Maple: a tight grained wood, is resistant to abrasion, and is durable and heavy.
Hickory: exceptionally heavy, strong, hard, and shock resistant.
Long and balanced. They are a full 24" and available in 2" diameter, 2.5" diameter, 2.75", and 3.0" diameter.
